"Barksdale's talent is rare. He shines with earnest, unjaded passion on a foundation of will and an ability to connect."

"Jack Barksdale is special. The 12-year-old songwriter from Weatherford plays guitar, mandolin and four other instruments. He's also got a web series called Guitar Slingers, in which he jams with guitarists who are touring in the area. And if all that weren't impressive enough, the preteen has already released a full-length live album that he recorded at Fort Worth's Niles City Sound. That's the same recording studio where Leon Bridges recorded his two Grammy-nominated albums."
"The future of Texas Music is in good hands with the emergence of 12 year old Jack Barksdale. He combines emotionally charged songwriting with fresh energetic guitar licks, add in the young perspective from an old soul and you have a relatable brand of music that will appeal to anyone."
-- The ETX ROCKS Show
“I have been in radio for over 20 years and I can not remember ever seeing a young man with so much talent at such a young age. He might just be Townes Van Zandt reincarnated.”
